“Any man can be a Father. It takes someone special to be a Dad.” — Unknown
How are you honoring the special dad in your life on Father’s Day?
We’ve always believed that fathers matter, and that Dads need to be honored every day. But perhaps even more than mothers, fathers don’t always get the accolades they deserve. That’s why there’s Father’s Day.
Some form of a day honoring fathers has been practiced across the world since the Middle Ages. The first official Father’s Day celebration in the U.S. was in 1910, organized by Sonora Smart Dodd, one of six children raised by her father, a veteran of the Civil War, after their mother died. Yet it took another 56 years before Father’s Day was officially recognized in U.S. as a national holiday, on the third Sunday in June, by President Lyndon Johnson (President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972).
Like we do for our mothers, a thoughtful card, a nice meal and a special gift are how we celebrate Father’s Day. While he might love another tie or that set of golf clubs he’s been eyeing, why not lavish the special Dad in your life with a gift that symbolizes your eternal love and appreciation? Give him an eternity band.
That’s right, a ring. Our men’s rings aren’t just for grooms. In fact, our exclusive designer line Rosados Box offers a variety of styles and metals that make an enduring statement about the bonds of love, loyalty, and strength–all the qualities we love in our Dads.
Our tungsten, cobalt, black zirconium, and titanium men’s rings are among our most popular sellers. Not only do they make a unique (and decidedly masculine) statement, these metals are rising in popularity because they are less expensive than precious metals AND are more durable.
or tungsten carbide is the most scratch-resistant metal known to man. It is much harder than, though similar in weight to, gold and platinum. Check out our Rosados Box collection of tungsten rings, including laser-etched designs that pay tribute to our US servicemen and women.
is a highly durable, scratch-resistant metal with a bright white hue. Resembling platinum, cobalt carries more heft on the finger as it is a bit heavier than other metals. Check out the Rosados Box collection of laser-etched and polished men’s bands.
Zirconium, or black zirconium
Exposing zirconium to a high heat turns it black. Paired with rose gold, these bands make a striking rocker-chic statement.
is a lighter but more crack-resistant metal than tungsten, and can take on a variety of hues depending on how the metal is processed. It also tends to be less expensive than tungsten. Check out this traditionally styled titanium band with a hammered satin/matte finish, in our Rosados Box line:
