The Name
When people hear the word “diamond,” they think big, sparkly, and expensive. That all sounds glamourous doesn’t it? With that said, some people may think they have to have one because of what society says. Not so fast though, that’s not the case! You don’t always have to follow the crowd especially with an important investment like this. To the untrained eye, most people cannot even tell the difference between a diamond and a moissanite! Unless you flat out tell someone that you received a moissanite ring, no one will ever know!
Cost
As one can imagine, diamonds are pricier than a moissanite. With a moissanite though, you can certainly splurge more in other areas than you would if you got a diamond ring if budget is an important component. Maybe you can add that halo that you like around your center stone or add milgrain detailing. Whatever the case may be, a moissanite ring is more cost effective than a diamond would be.
Preference
All in all, it’s truly your decision whether you want to receive a moissanite ring over a diamond ring - not anyone else’s. Don’t get discouraged or be ashamed if someone tells you that a moissanite is not as good as a diamond. Both are special in their own way! This is the ring that you are going to wear for the rest of your life and you can choose to have whatever center stone you like. You do you, and wear what makes you happy!
