Brief History
Before we share our pretty ruby pieces, let’s chat a little about the history and properties behind this birthstone! Rubies are a variety of corundum and this is what gives this gemstone its iconic rich, red color. Some rubies have different hues to them like pink-ish or purple-ish red, but the most coveted and sought after shade is known as “pigeon’s blood”. How interesting is that?
