Disclaimer: Black rhodium is applied only to the tips of the prongs of the stones. Over time, the black rhodium will naturally fade. This type of effect will require routine replating. Much like reinking on a tattoo, this luxurious black gold affect must be refreshed roughly every 3-6 months for optimal darkness.
Due to the lower body and open gallery design, we highly recommend having your wedding ring soldered to this engagement ring or have the engagement ring worn alone (without other rings next to it). We have found that sometimes, when bands are worn together, the wedding bands can slide up and hit the center stone causing the center stone to possibly chip; having the rings soldered will greatly reduce that likelihood. We recommend that all jewelry be worn mindfully in order to preserve each item's original integrity.
